LAPD Van Nuys Seeks Police Cadets
The Los Angeles Police Department Van Nuys Community Relations Officer has announced that the LAPD's Cadet Program will begin on Jan. 28.
According to a report by Sherman Oaks Patch, the free program is offered to young persons ages 13-20 who perform well in school, enjoy helping others and who are looking to motivate and challenge themselves. Formerly known as the LAPD Explorers Program, the Cadet Program holds meetings at the police station every Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. A new academy will be starting on Jan. 28.
